New drive for top talent among BME nurses

The NHS Institute for Innovation and Improvement has revamped its Breaking Through development programme for senior nurses from black and minority ethnic (BME) backgrounds. Successful candidates for the new programme can participate in director level jobs for 18 months, funded equally by the NHS Institute and NHS trust employers. The redesigned programme, renamed Top Talent, was launched at the annual Breaking Through conference, last month in London. It is aligned with the NHS Management Training Scheme.
