摘要

When you sit on the wide verandah of Deborah Sellar's huge Banks Peninsula homestead, Kinloch, and look out across the green tablecloth of perfectly tended lawns to the lake and the hills beyond, it's easy to appreciate why this is her favourite garden view. Even before the trees have burst into leaf there is a breathtaking beauty and tranquillity about the place. The undressed branches oi the enormous copper beech in front of the house lend a pleasing scale to the hefty architecture and giant redwoods attest to the property's long gardening tradition. Kinloch is a large sheep and cattle station in Little River, bought by Deborah and her late husband Michael in 1973.
