Not even a dreamy Edwardian home with its own original coach house on the cockle-rich shores of Morecambe Bay in north-west England could deter Aidan Lang and Linda Kitchen from grabbing the opportunity to emigrate to New Zealand.The pair have music in their souls and adventure in their blood. "Aidan was away working in Brazil for seven months of the year, directing Wagner's Ring Cycle, so I was open to changing our family's lifestyle," explains Linda. When the position of general director became available at NBR New Zealand Opera, Aidan snapped up the chance to work with conductor friend Wyn Davies.
