Mosaic artist Tandi Lidgard meant it when she suggested I wear sensible shoes for our meeting. It's not too long into the interview before I find myself swung on to the back of a tractor tearing down a steep dirt track to see the Lidgards' enormous barge moored at the bottom of their section on the Weiti River. It's fortuitous that Sam the golden labrador joins us and acts as cushion for the bumpy ride. "I usually hoon up and down the track but I'm being kind today," says Tandi mischievously. This is definitely not Jimmy Choo territory.
