A pair of serial renovators have finally settled down in their new home on a patch of Waikato horse country. Experience has taught Steve Gow to rejoice when his wife embarks on another redecorating quest. If, however, their house fixtures and wall coverings remain static for too long, Steve has learned to brace himself. Packing boxes and moving trucks tend to appear once Amanda Gow deems her work is done.Having shifted 14 times since they met, and lived through eight renovations, the business consultant is relieved to note that his interior designer wife has a lengthy list of plans for the house they have built in rural Cambridge.
