The Rochet company is established at Pamiers in the Ariege region. Georges Rochet, the father of the present manager Alain Rochet, established the company in 1964. Initially, the company specialised in making dies for bricks and roof tiles. The Rochet firm introduced new anti-abrasion materials such as Vautid wear resistant products in 1967 and tungsten carbide in 1968.
