Quality control--Portable X-ray fluorescence analysers

Fondis Electronic is introducing the new Niton XLt 500 He by Thermo Fischer Scientific, a portable X-ray fluorescence analyzer with helium purge. Able to analyse light elements such as magnesium, silicon, aluminium, sulfur and chlorine as well as heavy metals, the XLt 500 He is specifically designed for industrial, mining and geological applications (as for example cement, sands, production of ceramic materials). Renowned for their reliability, speed and precision, the portable Niton analysers are the most widely used analysers in the world by the mining industry for identifying and quantifying elements or pollutants both for mining and geological research work. The XLt 500 He is now able to analyse light elements from magnesium upwards. Besides being already able to analyse pollutants in order to comply to environmental and quality control requirements, a manufacturer will now be able to check the concentrations of any major element (SiO_2, AL_2O_3, S, Cl, CaO...) in his product throughout for instance, processing or upgrading it.
