Based on the impact resistance testing procedure found in Standard EN 12980, this new campaign has allowed to measure the discrepancies between the different impact testing machines used at the European level. However, whilst the 2006 testing programme required the use of a standard testing procedure for all laboratories, there were no such requirements on this occasion. Besides, contributing to standardising the testing tools, this new program also will contribute to controlling the tests by clarifying the standard testing procedure, which has remained somewhat unclear to date.
