Can we keep quality care alive?

Practice development (PD) posts and roles across England are being cut. There are no figures to pinpoint exactly how much of this work has been lost to NHS cuts because not all PD is carried out by 'practice development nurses'. Much of it is carried out by a range of nurses with aPDrole.These cutbacks are causing concern among directors of nursing and other nurse leaders who are worried about how they will continue to deliver on strategies that help clinical teams improve the patient experience and implement clinically effective care in a way that is cost effective.
