Thousands fewer nurses will be trained in England and Scotland next year, results of a Nursing Standard survey reveal. The data, labelled 'hugely worrying' by nursing leaders, show all ten strategic health authorities (SHAs) in England will cut the number of pre-registration nursing places they fund in the 2011/12 academic year.
