The Nursing and Midwifery Council has drawn up proposals for a system that will replace the much-maligned post-registration education and practice (PREP) standards.The new revalidation scheme will be piloted next year and aims to bring 'increased confidence that nurses and midwives continue to be fit to practise throughout their career'.
