摘要

It is hard to believe RCN's new general secretary Janet Davies has been in her role for only two weeks when I meet her at the college's London headquarters. Orchid plants adorne her office and her feet seem firmly under the table. It is only the presence of 'good luck' cards that provide a clue she is new to the job.Ms Davies is quick to outline her vision. As the RCN approaches its centenary year, she says she sees 2016 as an opportunity to get 'nursing into the public eye'.She wants to engage nurses more in the college's work and help them be more vocal about their contribution to health care and their own needs.
