Brachyderes grisescens Fairmaire, 1862 a new species for the French fauna (Coleoptera Curculionidae Entiminae)

B. grisescens is recorded for the first time from France, shortly after the record from this iberomarrocanian species from Italy in 2004. With this discovery, a possible link between the isolated Italian findings and the original distribution in the Iberian region is found, so the species is likely to spread out actively in the Mediterranean. The species was found numerous on a motorway service area near Beziers.
