The very rare Phloeostichus denticollis has been recorded from two new localities in the foret domaniale de la Haute-Meurthe (Vosges, France) and at the Champ-du-Feu (Bas-Rhin, France). Several individuals were caught in the first locality in a window trap at the end of April zoo6 in an old mixed stand of beech (Fagus sylvatica 1,.) and fir (Abies alba Mill.) near a sycamore maple one (Acer pseudoplatanus L.), growing on stony gullies, while an isolated individual was obtained on sieving in the second locality.
