摘要

The Food Standards Agency (FSA) is a non-ministerial Government department with a UK-wide duty to publish independent advice and to maintain consumer trust in food by putting the consumer first. The FSA’s vision is safe food and healthy eating for all. The FSA’s approach to helping consumers move towards a healthier diet is clustered around three areas of activity: influencing products, influencing individuals and influencing the environment in which individuals make food choices. Embedded within this approach, the FSA has developed opportunities for young people to learn how to choose, cook and eat safe, healthy food. Helping young people learn these skills and knowledge at an early age is important for not only their immediate wellbeing but also so that they can make healthier lifestyle choices in the future.
