Once upon a website . . . the story of Food - a fact of life

Several years ago, initiatives across the UK designed to tackle obesity and poor eating habits began to call upon primary school teachers to deliver more explicit, rigorous lessons in healthy eating and cooking. As mostly non-food specialists, many primary teachers felt anxious and unsure of exactly what, or how, they should be teaching about healthy eating and cooking in a primary school classroom.
