摘要

Chemical and in vitro digestibility methods have been examined in order to predict in vivo digestibility and energy value of feeds. Prediction equations are presented, which could be used by laboratories involved in practical feed evaluation to usedirectly or for developing reference values, which could serve as a basis for near-infrared reflectance spectroscopy calibrations. Three main categories of equations are considered: one based on chemical parameters only, one based on rumen fluid digestibility, and one based on enzymic digestibility.
