摘要

The ''two-point approximation'' for strongly non-local effective actions is applied to the calculation of observables (after semi-classical quantization) in the chiral quark-soliton model of the nucleon. In particular, valence- and sea-quark contributions to the moment of inertia I and to the isovector magnetic moment mu(v) are calculated in this approximation, and compared with results obtained from numerical solution of the full model. It is suggested that the approximation offers a simple and practical approach to such problems: It is a reliable guide concerning such questions as the stability of the classical soliton, and gives qualitatively correct answers for I and mu(v) (the former being accurate to about 10%).
