MASS-SYMMETRIC FORM FOR CLUSTER-CORE POTENTIALS

We summarize earlier results on a and exotic clustering in nuclei and propose a unified, mass-symmetric form for cluster-core potentials. This form reproduces the characteristics of the potentials used in the earlier analyses, as well as giving a reasonable first approximation to the potentials required to describe the systems alpha + alpha and C-12 + C-12.
