The link between the (e,e'p) reaction and inclusive electron scattering is examined in the frame of the impulse approximation. Next it is shown that the latter can be generalized, still maintaining order by order a factorized form, both in a perturbative frame and in the context of a fermionic loop expansion, provided that overcounting of diagrams is avoided by means of suitable numerical factors; The final results can be applied in situations in which two or more nucleons are observed in the final state.
