The theoretical and technical problems appearing in Shell Model calculations are discussed. Examples of unstable results due to uncertainties in the interaction are presented. Solutions developed with the codes ANTOINE (m-scheme) and NATHAN (coupled scheme) are presented. Possible improvements to the codes are suggested. [References: 23]
