Spectra of high momentum particles in PHENIX

Transverse momentum spectra of charged particles have been measured by PHENIX in Au-Au collisions at roots(NN) = 130 GeV. A systematic study of the distributions as a function of centrality is performed. Peripheral collisions results are similar to p-p while the most central collisions show a suppression of high momentum particles when compared to a simple superposition of binary nucleon-nucleon collisions.
