CLOSEDNESS CRITERIA FOR THE IMAGE OF A CLOSED SET BY A LINEAR OPERATOR

摘要

In this paper we present a necessary and sufficient condition for the preser-vation of closedness of the image of a closed set. This condition is applied to various different situations. Then applications are given for obtaining criteria for closedness of the set of convex combinations of a finite number of closed sets. This gives many very useful corollaries.
