We calculate proton elastic scattering with Ni-58 and Sn-120 at various intermediate energies with relativistic impulse approximation (RIA). We use the ground-state wave functions of the relativistic mean-field (RMF) calculation with the use of the TMA parameter set. We found good agreement with experimental data for the elastic scattering observables. In addition to the standard scalar and vector densities, we include also the tensor density. We study the Pauli effect and the vacuum polarization effect on the elastic scattering observables using the prescription of Horowitz and Serot at lower energy. (C) 2001 Elsevier Science B.V.
