We have studied the He-4(He-3, gamma)Be-7, He-3(He-3, 2p)He-4, and Be-7(p, gamma)B-8 reactions of the solar p-p chain in microscopic cluster models. Among other results, we showed that the Li-6 + p channel has a nontrivial effect on the Be-7-producing reaction, that the existence of a resonance in Be-6 close to the 3He + 3He threshold is rather unlikely, and that the correlations between some properties of Be-7/B-8 and the low-energy cross section of Be-7(p, gamma)B-8 might help one to constrain the value of the S-17(0) astrophysical S-factor.
