Characteristics of oil-impregnated polymer and its applications

The oil-impregnated polymer consists of lubricating oil and plastic material. Characteristics of oil-impregnated polymer are the ability to provide lubricating oil from the surface continuously, and the ability to estimate the amount of lubricant discharge. NSK has developed an oil-impregnated polymer that can be injection molded, and has superior physical properties. This new material is used as the lubrication unit for NSK K1{sup}(r) and Molded-oil bearings.
