Development of new high capacity cylindrical roller bearings

Long life and high reliability are required of cylindrical roller bearings for various industrial machines. To respond to this requirement, NSK has developed new cylindrical roller bearings whose life have almost been doubled by increasing the bearing load capacity by 20 or 30% more than conventional bearings. There are two series of bearings: The EW series with a steel cage and the EM series with a machined brass cage. Both cages have been designed for high strength, while both bearing series have greater resistance to vibration or shock load during operation. In addition, rolling attitude of the rollers has been stabilized by making the cage roller guides more precise and while lowering noise to levels unknown before.
