Luc Oursel Replaces “Atomic Anne”

Anne Lauvergeon will be replaced as president of the company she helped to create, the French government announced last week. Prime Minister Francois Fillon announced late Thursday, Jun. 16, that the government, which owns 87.4% of Areva, would back Senior Executive Luc Oursel to replace Lauvergeon and implement a “plan to improve the performance of the company, to strengthen its competitiveness and continue its development.”
