Kate Gould takes her pick of the new giftware at the Autumn fair. For five days at the beginning of this month, the NEC in Birmingham was home to the Autumn Fair. The eight halls designated for the show were packed with approximately 2,000 suppliersand plenty of visitors eager to snap up some of the best products in giftware. Despite the absence of some of the big names in the industry such as Colony and Sia, there was plenty to tempt the buyers who did venture to the Midlands. There were too manycompanies and products to mention so here is a taster of some of the best that this year's Autumn Fair had to offer. Always a great place to start for interesting and design-led gifts, the Focal Point area had some fabulous products on show. Simply Soaps,manufacturer of holistic skincare products using the slogan 'In harmony with you and the environment', was exhibiting for the first time with Focal Point.
