Oil development has transformed North Dakota to the point where it's hard to find a place or person that hasn't been touched by the boom. With production of oil up 600 percent in the state, it is inevitable that there will be people, industries and communities affected by the North Dakota Oil Boom. The transformation of the once desolate state has changed almost overnight with many flocking to North Dakota to see and take part in what National Public Radio called "the modern day gold rush."
