Weed control. What must you take into consideration?

Weed control in potatoes is discussed with reference to the use of herbicides. Data are presented on particular herbicides used in potato crops in Germany, including application rates, average costs and notes on their use. The effectiveness of certain herbicides in controlling cleavers [Galium aparine], climbing buckwheat [Fallopia convolvulus] and fat hen [Chenopodium album] are compared. Certain problem weeds such as deadly nightshade [Atropa belladonna] are discussed, as well as the eliminationof grass weeds.
