Effects of Fullgjodsel R [NPK fertilizer], ammonium nitrate and KalksalpeterTM [calcium nitrate] on grass yield and mineral content.

In field trials in 1990-92 at 16 sites in S. Norway, grasslands were given different combinations of NPK fertilizer, ammonium nitrate with lime and calcium nitrate applied at 2 rates, and comparisons were made with untreated plots. Yields increasedwith increasing N rate, but did not differ between different combinations of fertilizers supplying the same amount of N. N sources had significant effects on plant N, P, K, Ca and Mg contents.
