What are our best-selling roses this year? Bearing in mind they might not be what you and I would choose, it nevertheless seemed a good idea to find out. I checked with nurseries up and down the country and the results are thought-provoking. No prizesfor guessing that the ubiquitous 'Iceberg' popped up in nui series both North and South. The standard variety is the most popular -which is a comfort, A pair or, better still, a row of lush, green-leafed, icy white standard roses is stylish but a single bush slotted into a garden does nothing for me. The bush variety comes to life when it's mass planted. The new 'Burgundy Iceberg' also rated a mention.
