Heat bridges and building airtightness - today challenge for thermal insulation

Due to the low overall heat transfer coefficients of today's buildingsand even more so of future buildings, thermal insulation is to a large extent governed by heat bridges and air leakage. Phenomena, methods of characterization and design tools are described.
