It's not a trick question actually, and pupils from Mercury Bay Area School in the Coromandel will have an answer at the ready after being treated recently to a whirlwind visit via chopper by netbailer Irene van Dyk, who is an ambassador for the Cool Kids Grow programme. The school is part of the initiative that encourages students to get their hands dirty learning how to grow edibles and filling in the blanks in the modern supermarket shelf-to-trolley version of the 'food cycle' that skips the vital stages of cultivation.
