Raytheon BBN Technologies Awarded National Medal of Technology and Innovation for Acoustic Work

Raytheon BBN Technologies, the innovation arm of the defense contractor’s Network Centric Systems (NCS) unit, was awarded the National Medal of Technology and Innovation Friday, in February by President Barack Obama. The award is the highest honor the US government can give to inventors and scientists, and is in recognition of “sustained innovation through the engineering of first-of-a kind, practical systems in acoustics, signal processing, and information technology” over the course of the 65 years since Raytheon BBN was founded.
