Transport noise in Europe - an approach to the global noise issue. Report from a CAETS initiative

This is a report by Tor Kihlman on a new noise initiative by the International Council of Academies of Engineering and Technological Sciences (CAETS). It is based on a workshop held at the Institute of Sound and Vibration Research in the United Kingdom on 2008 June 2-4. The presentation was made at the opening ceremony of INTER-NOISE 08 in Shanghai on October 26, 2008.
