San Diego Noise Program Earns FAA Approval

FAA granted overall approval for the noise compatibility program submitted by the San Diego (Calif.) Regional Airport Authority for San Diego International Airport. Fourteen out of 19 specific measures were approved, including: sound attenuate additional eligible non-residential noise-sensitive receptor buildings for non-compatible development that were constructed or existed before October 1, 1998; sound attenuate eligible residential units that were constructed or existed before October 1, 1998; urge the City of San Diego to prohibit new incompatible land use development.
