An exhibition of 15 Ferraris was held for three months beginning October 11, 2001, at the San Diego Automotive Museum. What made this event special was that, in addition to the rare, privately owned and almost never publicly displayed Ferraris, ideas for "future Ferraris" by 33 automotive designers and 5 students were also exhibited. According to the museum, "This exhibit of Future Ferrari Concepts combined with outstanding examples of Ferrari's classic past has created a unique Ferrari experience.
