BOOSTING domestic wood-use is the primary focus of NZ Wood, which is an initiative of the forestry and timber processing industry to offset the loss of market share wood is experiencing in the building market. NZ Wood builds upon New Zealand's strong tradition of wood-use in residential structures and while wood's share in this market is still very high, recent BRANZ research for NZ Wood indicates that greater product choice and promotion by competing materials is taking its toll on wood.
