Mid Otago farm forestry in focus

There are no set or natural boundaries to the Mid Otago farm forestry area. What defines it is perhaps what it is not. It is not South Otago, North Otago or Central Otago. It is the bit that is left which is roughly to the north of the Kilmog, to thesouth of Lake Waihola, and to the east of the Rock and Pillars. The Otago Peninsula, the hills surrounding the Taieri Plains, and Strath Taieri are its heartland — it just happens to have three hearts.
