The Ministry for the Environment has recently released two publications about the Water Efficiency Labelling Scheme (WELS) which came into effect on 1 April 2010. Water efficient products - Rating and labelling AS/NZS 6400:2005 underpins the WELS.An introduction to the New Zealand Water Efficiency Labelling Scheme and A suppliers' guide to the New Zealand Water Efficiency Labelling Scheme were both developed to assist consumers and suppliers in understanding and complying with the WELS.
