Reading Station is undergoingan upgrade as part of the wider￡895M Reading Station AreaRedevelopment scheme; newplatforms have been added and existingplatforms are being refurbished.An important element of the work isa new steel footbridge, also known as theTransfer Deck, that has been built over thecentral portion of the station providing accessto all of the platforms.
