Cutting coke emissions through the 33/50 Program

Manufacturers that participated in EPA's 33/50 Program committed to reducing their emissions of 17 toxic materials by 50 percent from 1988 to 1995. The reductions are based on the emissions and disposal of toxic chemicals reported by the mills to the EPA Toxic Release Inventory (TRI). The TRI covers releases and off-site transfers of more than 600 materials.
