Rhino car design school <2> 3D sketch

Here we will introduce the process of polishing up the styling while filling in the gap between two and three dimensions using Rhino, as an extension of the idea sketch stage. The most common way of converting designs from two to three dimensions is to scan sketches, arrange them as templates and trace them (we will discuss this in greater detail later). As long as the 2D sketches are consistent, it should be possible to proceed with the modeling work relatively easily. In this series we use Rhino from the initial stage of the process in which ideas are developed. We wilt arrange the curves in 3D as if sketching and work on the idea while keeping a mental picture of the solid form. 3D programs can serve as powerful tools allowing designers to create more realistic ideas without necessarily sticking to conventional processes.
