Joel Goodwin, owner of Fundy Spray Fisheries in Little River, Yarmouth County, Nova Scotia, wasn't satisfied with just adding scallop-fishing gear to a new lobster boat, as other fishermen in the rea are doing to maximize their earnings, Goodwin wanted to quadruple the uses for the 50' x 26' x 8' fiberglass boat he was having built. Why have an expensive boat tied up at dock when it could be out there making money for you? With 11 years' fishing experience and a fleet of three other boats, he knew what he wanted and where to have it built. He went directly to the boatbuilding shop Dixon's Marine Group 2000, in Lower Woods Harbor, Nova Scotia.
