摘要

The variability and correlation coefficients were studied for ten indigenous genotypes of drilled upland paddy (Oryza saliva L.). Plant height and grains per panicle had greater mean, range and genotypic variances which were found to be controlled bygenetic factors. The panicle weight appeared as most reliable trait to be considered for direct selection for enhanced grain yield. However, greater effective tillers, panicle length, grains per panicle and 1000 grain weight may be advocated for combinedselection.
