Congenital Melanoma: A Case of Transplacental Melanoma Transmission to the Neural Axis

Transplacental (vertical) transmission of metastatic melanoma is extremely rare. We describe the brain MR imaging findings of the ninth reported case of maternally derived congenital melanoma, the third with known brain metastases.
