ICL Specialty Fertilizers:The Next Step Forward

It's been almost four years since the professional business group was sold by The Scotts Company to the ICL-Group. A few months later that business was renamed: Everris was born. Also in 2011 the ICL Group acquired Fuentes, a leading speciality fertilizer company in Spain. A year later the WSF production facility of Nu3 in Belgium became fully owned and was integrated. In that time, the company has seen its business grow and prosper under a renewed level of interest and innovation. Under the ICL flag, the companies within the ICL Specialty Fertilizers business unit expanded their business both globally through investments in R&D and operations, through new products and line expansions and through the synergies that come from working with a parent company such as ICL. Across the board, in ornamental horticulture, specialty agriculture and turf and amenities, ICL has seen significant growth making the company one of the industry leaders in the specialty fertilizer market. In 2013 the business unit ICL Speciality Fertilizers moved its Headquarters to the Netherlands and in 2014 AmegA Sciences was acquired. Not less than six main companies from the Group are involved in specialities: Nu3, Everris International, Rotem, ICL Specialty Fertilizers, Fertilizers & Chemicals, Fuentes! In order to maintain its strategic position in the markets it serves, ICL made up its mind: it had to take "The Next Step Forward". An integral part of this strategy is for ICL to act as ONE company among all its businesses, united and strong under one name: ICL Specialty Fertilizers. Effective since April this year, the company is beginning the transition to a new identity, new logo and the new company name - On this occasion New Ag international went for an exclusive interview with the CEO of the reshaped company, Karl Mielke.
