摘要

Characteristic equation with numeric coefficients is often taken as the system model for analysis and design. These models do not explicitly show the system parameters and hence, hinder the easy understanding of the system. Conventional methods of analysis and design mostly involve with trial and error procedures. In this paper a new method of using symbolic computations for the stability analyses and stabilization along with Routh and Fuller tables is proposed. This method is straightforward and direct in application. The advantage of this method is illustrated with a practical example.
